Someone so Special will never be forgotten. Wendy, may your soul rest in peace. We will always remember you, when as children we played in the sand together, we ate ice cream together, we slept in the same bed together, we cried together when vacation time was over. We were closely connected. Wendy, may your soul rest in peace. We will miss you, will always Love you, cousins Margot, Roger, Don and Angela. Rest in peace our Love one.

From the first day we met in 2002 until 2014 when she went back home at the end of her contract in Botswana, Wendy had been to me like a Sister I never had. She had been there for me through thick and thin, helped me in many ways even when I was very ill and at my lowest. She was my Sister in the Lord, we shared from the Word and encouraged each other. Above all, she was a praying woman, even during her last days she would also assure me of her praying for me.

When not at work we spent most of the time together, we visited hotels and lodges, we ate together, read together, spent quality time together at my or her place, or we just drove around the village passing time. She would show me pictures of her family and we celebrated their success together. What a dear Friend and Sister she had been to me, I will forever cherish the beautiful memory we shared while she was here.

I still find it hard to believe that my dear sister is gone. But for sure, I believe that she is now free from pain, and she is with the Saviour whom she loved and served diligently.

May the beautiful soul of Wendy continue to rest in eternal peace. Till we meet again at the Saviour’s feet.

My condolences to the family.
